At Lakeside, we know that your pet isn't just an animal — they're family. That's why we built our community with pets in mind from the ground up: a fenced dog park right on the lake, outdoor water stations, and a neighborhood full of pet lovers.
Dallas has one of the highest pet-ownership rates in Texas, and Lake Highlands is one of the most pet-friendly neighborhoods in the city. White Rock Lake Trail, Northaven Trail, and Flag Pole Hill Park are all within a 10-minute drive for weekend adventures with your pup.
Cats are equally welcome at Lakeside. Our spacious floor plans (622–1,109 sq ft) give indoor cats room to roam, and our quiet community makes for a stress-free environment.

Dogs & Cats Welcome
Both dogs and cats are allowed. Multiple pets are permitted subject to approval.
Pet Deposit
$300 per pet (non-refundable). Helps us keep the community clean and well-maintained for everyone.
Monthly Pet Rent
$25 per pet/month. Covers wear on common areas and pet-specific amenity maintenance.
Weight Limit
Up to 75 lbs per pet. Contact our leasing office if you have questions about specific breeds.
Pet Requirements
Current vaccination records required. All pets must be leashed in common areas outside the dog park.
Community Standards
We ask that all pet owners clean up after their pets and be respectful of neighbors and their animals.

The Lake Highlands neighborhood is one of the most dog-friendly areas in all of Dallas. Beyond our on-site amenities, your pets will love the surrounding area.
White Rock Lake Trail (10 min away) offers a 9.33-mile loop around the lake — perfect for long runs with your dog. Northaven Trail (8 min) is great for shorter walks with plenty of shade. Flag Pole Hill Park (12 min) has open fields for off-leash play.
Veterinary care is close by: Lake Highlands Animal Clinic, VCA Animal Hospital, and several specialized vet services are all within 15 minutes. Pet supply stores including PetSmart and local grooming boutiques are nearby for all your pet care needs.

Are there pet fees or deposits?+
Yes — $300 non-refundable pet deposit and $25/month pet rent per pet. These help us maintain the community amenities that make Lakeside great for all pets and residents.

Absolutely. Our pet washing station makes it easy to clean up your dog after a muddy trip to the lake or dog park — right on site before going home.
